Paris
I will make a couple of recommendations for you and try to keep them away from touristy areas. But, there is really no escape from the tourists in Paris. So you will always have to deal with that, but as Monique will tell you, you should not eat at touristy parts of town because the food is not that good And it cost too much. And ask Monique about the scammers on the streets who tried to engage you, and how you should just say, no, merci, and walk away!

- On the south side of the Louvre, through Cour carrée du Louvre, you will exit to the Pont des Arts, a bridge over the River Seine with fantastic views all around.

This is in Le Marais which is a very attractive part of town to walk around with all kinds of restaurants, cafés, pastry, shops, museums gardens, you name it!
If you take the metro line number one and get off at St. Paul Station it’s just a couple blocks north. And if you walk south from the station, the river. Seine is only a couple of blocks away and it’s one of the less touristy parts.
If you do walk down to the river from there, make a right turn at the river, and after you go under the first bridge, you will see a couple of boat restaurants with outside seating on the river, where you can have a glass of wine, or coffee or even ice cream . More locals hang out there.
